Nancy Arlene Carlson

July 9, 1952 – Jan. 28, 2010

Born and raised in Portland, Nancy graduated from Washington High School.  Being a lover of travel, she lived in Reno, Nev.  For two years where she worked for Hilton Hotel and Reno Medical Plaza.  She returned to be near her family.  When Nance was not making jewelry, decorating her home, or gardening, she worked for Boxer Marcus, Hilton Hotel, Fred’s Sound of Music, Eastmoreland Hospital, Southwest Washington Medical Center and spent 14 years at Manor Management as a bookkeeper.  Nancy was manager of Glencoe Mobile Home Park, where she lived.

A most loving person with a beautiful, contagious smile, Nancy lived her life surrounded by family, coworkers and close friends.  She was preceded in death by her older brother, Douglas, and is survived by her mother, Esther Bowlby; brother, Steven Carlson; and older sister, Darlene Marsden, who she called her best friend.   She also leaves nieces and nephews; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held at 2 pm Saturday, March 6, 2010, in Westmoreland Union Manor.  In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to the Oregon Humane Society in remembrance of Nancy, a lover of pets and animals.  Arrangements by Crown Memorial Center – Portland.

Did Nancy attend Laurelhurst grade school? I did, and I am sure she was one of my classmates? Did she live just a few houses away from the school?
I would like to know if anyone knows the answer. Thank you!
