Myron Wayne Roberts, 66, passed away on January 30, 2012.  Myron was born to Harold and Corrinah Roberts on August 3, 1945 in Kendrick, Idaho.  He was primarily raised at the American Ridge farm and Moscow, Idaho, graduating from Moscow High School in 1963.  On September 9, 1963, Myron married Paula J. Roberts in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.  He then joined the U.S. Army and served his Country as a member of the 82nd Airborne Division, being honorably discharged in 1966 and returned with his family to Moscow, Idaho.  In 1966, Myron began studying at the University of Idaho, and in 1970 he received his Bachelor’s degree in Business.  His studies led him into his career as a Certified Public Accountant and Financial Officer.  He worked for the Oregon Historical Society and higher education institutions including Lewis-Clark State College, Idaho; Oregon Health and Sciences University; Marylhurst College; California State University, Long Beach; Warner Pacific College, and Portland State University.  Myron was a family man and loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren, especially on their family trips to Disneyland.  He enjoyed games, reading, collecting comic books, traveling, teaching, learning, singing and leather tooling.  When his children were young, Myron enjoyed coaching youth sports teams and he and his son were participants with Indian Guides.  Growing up as a member of the Church of God, Myron always liked participating in church activities.  He was a current member of the Southwest Church of Christ.  He was also a member of the Lions Club from 1971-1976 and a Republican Precinct Committeeman in 1976.


Survived by Myron are his wife of 48 years, Paula Roberts of Portland; daughter and son-in-law Jeannie and Bob Stokes of Albuquerque, NM; son and daughter-in-law Ken and Altine Roberts of Oregon City; mother-in-law Mildred Miller of King City; sister Celia Fuerst of Sherwood; brother and sister-in-law Orville and Benita Roberts of Portland; sister and brother-in-law Lolita and Richard Stuthard of Gresham, and five grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Corrinah; brother and sister-in-law Leonard and Shirley Roberts; and brother-in-law Nathan Fuerst. 


Myron will be lovingly remembered by all of his friends and family for his wonderful sense of humor.  He was a compassionate and loving man who was always willing to help others. He was a sought out by others for his wisdom and advice.  He loved the Lord and delighted in seeing his children and grandchildren follow his example of faith.
