Randolph Craig Simerly, 61, of Dundee, died August 29th 2012 due to health complications.

Randy was born in NW Portland on March 17th, 1951 to Wallace and Beverly Ann Simerly (Zumwalt).  He graduated from high school in Newberg in 1969 and went on to attend at the University of Oregon for several years where he participated in the Duck’s football program.  He later finished his bachelor’s degree at the University of Washington and graduated in 1994. 

Randy had many jobs in his lifetime including: Tire service man, gun powder truck driver, and a worker’s bus driver in Alaska during the building of the pipeline.  He also worked in the warehouse at R.E.I. where he later became a programmer for several years.  He opened a gun shop in Bonnie Lake WA for several more years until he moved back to Oregon to be closer to his family.  Randy was an avid National Rifle Association and Dundee gun club member, and was loved and admired by all those who met and knew him.

He was survived by his father, Wally Simerly; his step father, Bruce Fowler; his brother, Dirk Fowler; his longtime companion Colleen Pearson; along with many other loving family members and friends. 

Randy’s memorial can be found at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, in McMinnville Oregon, just above his mother Beverly Ann Fowler.
